Many well known and beloved creators have recently made videos about leaving UA-cam or taking an extended break to some degree. As some have stated themselves, I agree that it's overdue for many. Last year alone was tough for everyone. But I think it's also just a small part of something bigger. Something, hopefully, better. Your art skill has never been that important
This video is gold! those mistakes are usually what keep artists back from looking professional! I know something myself, i still do a lot of them and correcting faces is hard as hell for me and sometimes i just fail >.< and start fresh One tip i would love to add is to pause and come back to a drawing after a hour or so, to have a fresh first-impact and see more imperfections.
A message for all artists of all types: Don't give in to all the fearmongering out there. No one can replace you. Your talents and hard work come together to provide society with one of its greatest boons.
i always find it so fascinating and amazing just how different every artists' workflow and experience can be. hearing the vast mount of difference in techniques and brainstorming is always cool. also; to add to the discussion of what makes AI images not as good as or inferior to human art is just that; it wasn't made by a human. there was no thought or intention put into it, it was created by a machine by blending up a bunch of stuff into an *approximation* of an idea, but with none of the intentionality or drive or purpose that a human artist would bring. i don't get excited by AI art, i'm not made interested by AI art, because there's no story behind it. it's all flat and lifeless. you could show me the most beautiful, intricate piece of AI-generated art, and put it next to a simple doodle done by a human, and i'd prefer the human's doodle every single time. amazing and beautiful artwork in the video also!!! the REAL reason that companies are hyping up AI so much is because they *want* to make people worry that they'll be replaced- but they can't actually do it. because, like josh says, they're not really all that "smart".
This is one of the more helpful videos Ive watched.
"sigma" dude 💀
Thank you for helping to improve my art, Josh! You’re really constructive, positive and helpful!!!
I just fixed so many mistakes in a drawing that's been driving me crazy all day! Thank you!
Architect to artist to architectural artist pipeline

On a side note I noticed 6/8 but regardless am guilty of them all and to this day often discard the far nostril 😅
I had to listen twice and blink 6 times when he said dead cat im so confused lol is it his dead cat fur turned into a ball for keep sake or is it for a microphone?
these were kinda life-changing, ngl
Very educational. Thanks!
love the video and what u spoke abt. ty for putting this into words
That was super helpful and interesting. Im still a newbie to art and glad to see that even u make some mistakes here and there, makes me feel less intimidated haha. <3
Don’t be shy. Give us more 🙏🏽
Thanks for this lesson. It’s amazing how these small changes greatly improves the face drawings. I really need to study anatomy again just for a refresher.
I have learn so much here 😁
I have a new IPad and you are an inspiration for making art. Keep it up bro.
could you please explain how we can form expressions?
So the reason why are brains are so fast is because we sacrifice near perfect accuracy for speed. The new analog chips have had promise to be able to do the same, people just haven’t invested as much time into those as digital devices. I honestly don’t think digital devices will surpass our brains in speed and reach the same energy efficiency anytime soon but those will only be used to train the AI, the analog chips will run it.
This was a really good video though!!
10/10
Also 5:05 the pupils should face forward
Keeping features in perspective is so hard!!! It's something I'm trying so hard to recognize in my own work more. Man, even just recognizing where the mistakes are is such a skill on its own.
Don't waste your time "mixing" it into your work flow. It's a waste of time.
It's greatest weakness is it's not art, it will never be art, and this whole thing has been a joke where we are not laughing only out of pity, not spite, pure pity. Now it's just sad.
Thanks for this, it helped me a lot!
I usually don’t like riddles & puzzles. 😌 I just like information and answers. 🤩🥳 But this is actually a really fun game! Thanks! And I can’t stand suspense when I’m learning and you weren’t a jerk at all about teaching. 😎 Just straight facts! Bless you, Josh! 💪🏽
This has helped me more than all my years of art studies thanks man
Thank you so much for making this. Seriously, I'll be refering to this as a test for all my faces from now on, because some of these are so detailed and precise. Like many say, half the work of making art is editing.
Do a Fine Art degree, learn your subject and its history, when you do you will understand how to formulate and structure your ideas. The rest is love and not wanting to do anything else. Simple 👌
Great video! Thanks!
I think you and everyone else who feels down about AI art is totally valid. I felt the same for awhile when it started blowing up. I have cultivated an acceptance though cause I truly don't think it is going anywhere. AI is part of human evolution unfortunately but that doesn't mean that things have to be as grim as our brains are making things out to be. The rise of AI (I believe) is going to usher in a renaissance of human made art. I think that people that don't care if something is made by people or AI never did care and they will never be our audience. But a large amount of people do care and I think that AI art will strengthen those peoples love for handcrafted pieces with a human touch.
Just imagine you write a book on anatomy and your last name is Goldfinger 😂
You should be doing art because you love doing art. Not for fame, not for money, and strive to be the best artist you can be. Shyt I just had a chemical reaction on the gold leaf when I put 2k kandy over it and had to sand off a month's work. It hurts but it's part of the process. Besides you can integrate ideas from AI art or use mediums that AI can't duplicate. Now ur complaining AI is racist... bro it pulls data from the internet. Who cares if a nymph is black or white? It's fictitious.
Nice video’s master I’m learning 🙏🏽✨✨✨
Draw with a pencil and paper
do it urself lol
If you're watching a video on intermediate art skills, then there's no way you're so dumb as to not realize they're the same skills. Digital allows you to access more tools with less supplies, and fine-tune lines you already made. You still have to have the skill to *notice what's wrong with the lines in the 1st place* and *fix them to look proper.* Yanno, the whole point of the video.
What a coincidence, I was drawing faces and looking for something to listen to when I see this video!
I really needed this. It’s one of the best ways I learn, finding & fixing mistakes. Thx for this!
Thank you.
I think the direction that artists will have to start moving in will be in creating multi-layer/multi-medium art pieces. They'll take more time, but they will be undeniably human creations. For digital art, perhaps an additional timelapse video with maybe a narration/backstory of the artwork will be required to authenticate it. I think that the "proof of work" will become the art, just as an antique often times is worthless without the accompanying history.
I'm going to save people a lot of time because I skimmed through the whole 33 mins. 1. It's a big advertisement for milanote, and a tutorial on using it for a good chunk of the video 2. Draw minorities as AI doesnt have many of them 3. It's a technical explanation of how AI works which is not really relevant. 4. Follow your intuition and draw stuff you haven't seen. There. a quick summary to save you 33 minutes
A western mythological female is western looking? Omg the audacity. This is the black Aragorn meme all over xD
I think this would be a great idea for your shorts/reels. A nice quick heads-up for everyone, when you find a unique mistake while you're drawing.
amazing knowledge ergo, you studied this well to help other artists :)
Disturbed
which app do you use for showing skull?
I got a great new name for AI art, it’s called theft
Love this, thanks.
